Reece Wickland aka WICKIE is the founder and president of UMD Techno Club, a group of University of Minnesota Duluth students who produce and perform at EDM events in the area. The Techno Club quickly exploded into a growing rave community, prioritizing a safe and welcoming culture. WICKIE’s DJ style ranges broadly from peak dark and sweaty dancefloor techno to melodic and progressive indie dance music that brings people on a sonic journey and allows them to feel the music in their soul. For Wicklund, DJing is a conversation with the people of the dancefloor. WICKIE has performed at local venues of all sizes and at regional events like Breakaway Music Festival and Backyard Boombox.
