Venus de Mars and All the Pretty Horses are a trans-centered and allied band that plays glam-punk music led by vocalist and guitarist Venus de Mars. The group has gone through several lineup changes since forming in 1993, and this year’s set will feature bandmates Jendeen Forberg, Tempest Crane, Kat Morgan, Natalie Adams, Raven Harris, and Lauren Ribeiro. With heavy guitar riffs, ballad inspired vocals and eclectic outfits sporting pasties and corsets, the band members blend their life experiences into their music. One of their most recent singles, released on Bandcamp, “Even With Scars,” was inspired by the 2023 shooting at underground punk house-show venue Nudieland and its impact on the DIY punk and LGBTQIA2+ community.
