The Power of the Puss delivers an alt-country folk sound with a raw and unapologetic attitude. Live performances are a mix of fun and seriousness, with playful banter, theatrical bits and a fair amount of naughty words. There are no innuendos; they come out and say it. Singer and guitarist Casey Dunn’s bluesy voice is backed up by multi-instrumentalist Justine Fosle’s melodic harmonies. Justine’s brother Joe Fosle keeps the rhythm on the drums, while vocalist Mindy Cummins plays keys and trumpet, with her husband Joe Cummins on the haunting cello. Audrey Todhunter rounds out the lineup on violin.
