The Mad Violin Scientist

Violin virtuoso Nick Hyde donned a white coat, goggles and industrial strength rubber gloves, disappeared into a laboratory inside a medieval castle and unleashed the Mad Violin Scientist. The experiment worked! Hyde performs a variety of songs, compositions and sound exploration using only a violin and a laptop. “This new show features manipulating the sound of the violin in ways the world has never seen before,” says Hyde. Drums, bass, synths and other sounds are all created using the violin. The instrumentation is looped together as the Mad Violin Scientist invents new music live on stage.
