The Leave Alones are an alt-garage rock crew with a punk edge, channeling swagger and chaos in equal measure. Vocalists/guitarists Cole Holstrom and Erik Sather, bassist Dave Mold, and drummer Mike Ballard deliver high-energy, unapologetically loud songs about broken relationships, bad life choices, and trying to escape small towns. The band is working on their sophomore record, Slump, to follow their debut album All The People We Know, which was packed with pop-punk emotion and colored with early punk Midwest alternative. On the band’s name, Holstrom says, “Half the band wants to be left alone, and half the band ends up leaving the bar alone, so it just ended up being an example of art imitating life.” Equal parts fun and self-deprecating.
