The Common Thread is the six-piece band fronted by award-winning Duluth-based musician, author, and storyteller Teague Alexy. Known across the Minnesota music scene for his solo guitar, harmonica, and songwriting – as well as his nationally touring Americana act Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank with brother Ian Alexy – Teague is a wielder of tales from New Jersey to Duluth. Teague Alexy & The Common Thread is centered in roots-rock with highlights of blues, reggae, Irish music, bluegrass, hip-hop, country, and folk with easy versatility given the band’s expert musicianship. Percussionists Owen Mahon and Tyler Dubla, pianist Rob Jones, bassist Brian Wells, and guitarist Jacob Mahon join Teague for the recent release of their new album, Effervescent.
