Sugar on the Roof

Music is what’s most important to the members of Sugar on the Roof, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t thinking about merch. The band’s custom-printed kazoos were released to fans in September. The barn-dance regulars play a repertoire spanning traditional string-band tunes to the roots of Western swing. Megan Orwig Reynolds plays guitar and leads the honeyed harmonies, Jefferson Reynolds works the banjo and trombone, and Clancy Ward handles the classic country fiddlin’. They blend traditional American music from the 1930s and ’40s with their originals to create a signature sound.
