The high-energy acoustic trio Squid City Slingers performs a blend of bluegrass, folk, country, and gypsy jazz. Delivering three-part harmonies are Sydney “Squid” Wojszysnki on fiddle, upright bassist Riki Olson, and guitarist Christopher Cuellar. In addition to playing regularly at local bars and eateries, these string players have been featured on NPR’s “The Great American Folk Show” and headlined at both Bluegrass on the Black and Squid Fest. Their most recent EP, Harbors & Highways, was released in the summer of 2025 with cover art featuring a giant squid playing a fiddle in front of the Duluth’s Aerial Lift Bridge.
