Sour Venom plays original music heavily inspired by hard rock from the 1970s forward. “We’re trying to bring our version of the feel-good, head-banging rock that we grew up with to Duluth,” vocalist Ron Nordberg said. He’s backed in the band by guitarist Paul Palusky, bassist Rob Johnson and drummer Ryan Kivisto. Crowd participation is highly encouraged at a Sour Venom show, whether that involves sitting in a chair, tapping toes or hitting the dance floor. “Either way, you’re guaranteed to feel the music with us and have a great time,” Nordberg said. The band has 24 songs ready for release, some of which will drop this summer on the debut Sour Venum EP.
