Peat Boggs is an eclectic quartet that plays a blend of groove, jazz, and folk music. The band’s sound shifts from smooth melodies to hints of doom and surf rock. Guitarist Charlie French sings introspective poetry with murky yet reflective lyricism that weaves through the band’s lush genre-blurred arrangements. Cole Webster shapes the sound with gritty, expressive guitar. Ben Wagener holds down the low end with melodic bass lines. Chris Shea drives the groove on drums. Cavan Denning joins the band on sweet pedal steel. Since the release of their debut five-song EP Good Enough in 2024, Peat Boggs has been playing more shows and recently released their first full-length album, Setting In.
