Acoustic singer-songwriters with grit, Mae and Justine are a Duluth-based duo bringing heartfelt harmonies and layered instrumentation to the stage. Mae Mallace debuts at Homegrown on vocals and guitar, while Justine Fosle returns for her third performance, adding vocals, piano, flute, and guitar. “We perform a mix of both originals and covers. Pretty songs on the surface, with power at the core,” Fosle says. “We perform unexpected covers that turn hard rock songs soft and soft rock songs hard.” Expect heartfelt songs, unexpected twists, and maybe a soft rock song that bites back.
