Positive messaging meets old-school heavy metal with Innerstellar Overdrive. The three-piece powerhouse band, which debuted in 2023, produces a crunchy, thrashing rock sound with uplifting and inspiring lyrics. Sporting a double kick pedal, drummer Bryce Kastning is a lifelong local rocker and regional sound healer. Erin Kathleen lays down powerful riffs on bass. The ever-smiling Erik Schnackenberg, who attendees might recognize from Full Circle Yoga, is featured on guitar and vocals, and can be seen head-banging along with the crowd the whole time. The “mindfulness metal” band often features Erin’s son, Austin Washenesky, on trombone.
