The post-metal band Halfsleeper takes an experimental and melodic approach to creating its music, with elements of doom and black metal combined with psych rock and shoegaze, among other genres. Formed in 2019, the band includes Anatomy of Ruminants members Tobin Dack and Tina Fox as well as Kirdan Wenger, Ian Erickson and Rio Mariucci. They performed a handful of shows in the past year, including the Northern Wisconsin Metal Fest and the Homegrown Winter Fiasco.
