Officially kicking off the 28th year of the Homegrown Music Festival will be a short reception with founder Scott “Starfire” Lunt. What started as an overgrown birthday party for Starfire of Father Hennepin and pirate radio infamy has continuously expanded into a homegrown annual showcase of Twin Ports artistry. Cheers to the birthday boy and this catalyst festival that has transformed the area’s music scene from mostly heavy-metal cover bands in the 90s to a vast array of genres and original music.
