Foosball Ruckus kicks around a sound that refuses to sit in one lane. Rock, blues, ska, funk, alternative, indie, jazz – the five-piece band blends it all together for a sound that’s all their own. Lead vocalist Derek Ruport, guitarist Nathan Young, and bassist Luke Fornengo met at Superior Middle School and have been making music together ever since. They’re joined by Hendrick Hicks on drums and Marcus Juusola on rhythm guitar, rounding out the lineup that officially took shape in March 2024. Their shared background in jazz brings a sharp musicality and improvisational edge to their original material. Named as an ode to their first rehearsal space, Foosball Ruckus delivers an energetic set of originals that keeps the momentum high from the first note to the last.
