Like rock-and-roll vampires or electronic-dance ghosts, the moody female synth duo EmbalmingEva prefers dark, experimental and eerie environments for performances. “The overall vibe and ambiance of our showcases has been incredibly important to create an immersive and intimate experience for our audience,” said Galalee Wright, who put together EmbalmingEva with longtime collaborator Jesse Hatten. The duo composes, records and produces all-original instrumental tracks to accompany the live vocals. A music video released last summer features hungry goats, a frozen waterfall and a pitch black forest.
