DJ Sox

Four years ago, Garrett Prisk’s life was changed with the discovery of electronic music and DJ culture. “To me, they represent something that brings together people of all ages, colors, genders and religions in the name of one thing — having fun,” Prisk says. “No matter your appearance or what you believe, dancing to a funky beat is going to make you forget about your problems and put a smile on your face. As a Duluth native, I wanted to bring this movement to my hometown, so I began throwing parties and DJing under the alias DJ Sox. When I play, I have one goal in mind: Make the people of the Twin Ports move their feet to a sound they may not be used to. Whether it’s disco, techno, dubstep or house, I’m always experimenting with new sounds I think the people of Duluth will enjoy getting down to.”
