Nola Wick has been spinning the funkiest, grooviest dance parties for years. She’s well known for her Freak of the Week funk and disco parties, but has also opened for notable names such as Rick Wilhite and Jon Hester, and performed at some of the biggest house parties in Minneapolis. Nola got her start here in Duluth as a KUMD radio DJ, where she discovered her undying love for the turntable and continues to play almost all her tracks on vinyl to this day. After nearly a decade of playing primarily house music, she started exploring the songs sampled in some of her favorite tracks, delving deep into the depths of disco and funk.
