Hard rock four-piece Discord at Dawn released the single “Sanguine Way” on Bandcamp in August. The track follows a warped, heavy-metal riff into a loud, murky forest of sound. Lightning-bolt guitar solos slash through the darkness. Drums blast in the distance. Vocalist Joel Conley howls like a wounded wolf: “Blood spills on the dust, the ground drinks it up, but I can still smell my prey.” This is what fear sounds like. Formed in 2015, Conley sings and plays guitar with Andy Morrow also on guitar, David Anderson on drums and bassist Dan Krause.
