Deep Fake Five

For 20 years, Dan Munthe and Cliff LaVigne were part of an alt-rock freaky funky powerhouse known as the Resonance. Secretive backroom dealings, political radicalization and other kinds of monkey business have shaped the sound of Duluth’s newest rock conglomerate, Deep Fake Five. Guitarists Munthe and LaVigne joined forces with Life Parade leader Cameron Matthews and scene newcomers Ted Larson and Scott Kimball to create a new incarnation of Life Parade as well as this new project that touts 1960s rock power and ’90s angst as good descriptors of its sound.
