He’s half-guitar hero, half-chimpanzee, Dan Munthe is a children’s music champion and stuffed-animal star. He’s got more toy musical instruments than Target, and the youngsters know him as Dan the Monkeyman. “I never intended it to last,” says Munthe, who has been playing songs for kids for the past 15 years. “I still just love it. I’m in it for the joy,” he says of sweet voices singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” at their best, children running away from their mom, or banging on the bongos to their own song.
