What started as a sibling duo featuring singer-songwriter Eric Cyr on guitar and his sister, Rachel Cyr, on vocals is now a five-piece Americana group. Their original songs feature tight vocal harmonies, dynamic musicality, and lyrics that search for the cosmos hidden in the chaos. The Cosmonauts also consist of drummer Brady Kamphenkel, keyboard player John Mcloughlin, and bassist Tarek Makky. They have released two albums, Callused in 2018 and Songs to Sing Before We’re Dead in 2021, which seek to “weave together the personal and the universal, the mundane and the beautiful – songs to live to, die to, and resurrect to.”
