Climes is a musical project led by Minnesota artist Drew Anderson, whose songwriting blends a folk sensibility with genre-jumping guitar and lute dulcimer. Climes is a collaboration among five seasoned, Duluth-based musicians: Drew Andreson on vocals, lute, and dulcimer; Clifton Nesseth on fiddle, flute, and guitar; Rebecca Alsum on cello; Steve Dalager on acoustic bass and vocals; and Zack Baltich on percussion. A typical Climes set appeals to both the light-hearted dancer and contemplative listener. Lyrically, the songs are bound up in the issues of the day and the sentiments of musicians who seek a more just and inclusive world. We’ll let the songs say the rest.
