Once described as an instrumental hard rock band, Chasm has experimented with the occasional vocals, not because they should, but because existential crisis demands it. This four-member group is still defining its genre, but you can expect some harder-hitting tracks. The lineup of Conor Glenn, Justin Baumgartner, Daniel Krause, and Jake Alvar writes music that drifts between heaviness, melody, and whatever sounded good at rehearsal that night. Chasm is currently working on a full-length album, blending tracks previously recorded at The Karpeles Museum with new songs that are almost certainly too long to be commercially viable, but they feel right, which is either inspiring or irresponsible, depending on who you ask.
