As Duluth’s premier possum-core project, acoustic folk-punk duo Campfire Tranarchists once described its sound as “a strung-out possum rattling in your local gay bar dumpster while dogs fight over leftover poppers.” Sporting patch-covered battle jackets, guitarists Bee and Rhea Goldskye sing songs informed by the queer experience, the issues of the day and, most importantly, hope. The duo plans on hitting the studio later this year to record a debut album with the working title Aggressively Homosexual. For Homegrown, Campfire Tranarchists are set to perform a night of music about landlords, revolution and Mike Judge.
