Born Too Late started playing together in 2016, when band members Rokkyn Kavajecz, Traxx Kavajecz and Taylor Shykes were still in elementary and junior high school. Drummer Jon Clark joined the group later. Their band name comes from the habit of playing music from before they were born — from 1980s rock like Guns n’ Roses and Fleetwood Mac, to country classics like Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. The first Born Too Late album, Rebel Child, dropped in 2022, and the follow up, Cosmic Loser, will be released this spring. A BTL show features originals, today’s hits, 1990s throwbacks and classic rock and country.
