With influences like Jimi Hendrix, Bootsy Collins, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Parliament, James Brown and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Boku Frequency is the perfect storm of soul, blues and funk. Respectively hailing from Kansas City and Chicago, Rick Bruner and Thomas Harris have the proper pedigrees on drums, bass, keyboard, vocals and their own feet. The Hendrix influence is most palpable in Minnesota native Terry Gums, who fronts the group singing political protest songs and slaying axe on lead guitar.
