The eight-piece soul and funk band Big Wave Dave and the Ripples began in 2011 and quickly gained an audience with their long-term residency at the now-closed Rex Bar. Since then, some career highlights include being featured halftime performers alongside the University of Minnesota Duluth marching band; appearing at First Avenue in Minneapolis; and performing with the legendary piano player Chuck Leavell of Allman Brothers Band and Rolling Stones for his television program America’s Forests, with comedian Mary Mack for her North Star Comedy Hour, and with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. Big Wave Dave is vocalist Dave Adams; The Ripples include Alex Nordehn, Alex Piazza, Peter Knutson, Brian Wells, David Rode, Matt Wasmund, and Scott Millis.
