David Kittelson has navigated a Twin Ports rap journey down many paths. After starting out as a teenage phenom and assembling a crew of friends that would go on to be Duluth’s longest-running hip-hop collective, Kritical Kontact, Kittelson explored all aspects of the craft of wordplay as Bliss, later expanding the moniker to Beyondbliss. After a stint drafting celestial-minded rhymes with Kyle Sitter, Kittelson tried a hand at stand-up comedy and has most recently taken the show on the road quite literally. Beyondbliss operates primarily out of a van cruising across the country playing shows and creating videos about “van life.” A full-length self-titled album was released shortly after last year’s Homegrown, and the EP Rap Kerouac 2 came out in January.
