“Duluth’s Famous Kaylee” Kaylee Matuszak and “Iron Range Safety Hazard” Steve Solkela have recently expanded their Berzerk Blawndz! spectacle to include Joe Anderson on saxophone and Peter Anderson on drums. In a clash of creativity, comedy, and absurd instrumentation, Kaylee’s singer-songwriter style meets Steve’s Finnish operetta vocal style, along with his trove of instruments and trinkets, including accordion, crash cymbal helmet, glockenspiel, chimes, rubber chicken, trumpet, slinky, vibraslap, drums, washboard, and all sorts of bells and whistles. The original duo released a self-titled album in 2024 and the full four-piece released a holiday album at the end of 2025. Each song is a self-contained, comedic showtune with clever ditties drenched in Minnesota magic. Buckle up, listeners!
