Members of the instrumental trio Alonzo met and became friends at the Perpich Center for Arts seven years ago and have been “goofing around” with groovy, funky, spacey and incredibly catchy electronic music ever since. The group performs a mind-bending blend of 1960s bossa nova, easy listening, Italo disco and incidental television music. The three musicians — Lucy Tennis Anderson, Joy Citrine and Eden O’Brien — swap guitar, bass and keyboard duties live on stage and perform original music inspired by routine, mundane experiences like going to the beach, painting Easter eggs and drinking LaCroix.
