Sorrows Never Die frontman Nicholas Quinones wields a Strandberg Boden eight-string electric guitar — kind of a rarity in the world of four-piece hard-rock bands. The extra two guitar strings help the band deliver an extra big sound. All Duluth musicians, Quinones and guitarist Zakk Houle jammed together as teens years ago before adding bassist Link Hunter and drummer Ryan Kivisto to launch Sorrows Never Die in 2023. The group has performed on stages around town, including Wussow’s “Fright Night” and recently made its Twin Cities debut at the Midway Saloon in St. Paul. This will be the band’s first Homegrown performance.
