Zenith City Groove Collective

Zenith City Groove Collective is an instrumental funk jazz band formed by Duluth transplant Todd Garland to challenge both listeners and performers with unconventional pop and rock covers of Nirvana and the Beatles alongside the modern groove tunes of John Scofield, Charlie Hunter and Chris Potter. Garland spent time in the Atlanta and Chicago music scenes with bands opening for acts such as Los Lobos, Sister Hazel, Big Head Todd & the Monsters and Robert Randolph and the Family Band. Joining him are UMD/UWS guitar professor Jake Jonker, UMD music school graduate Nick Glass on bass and local saxophonist Keith Bower.
