“Hey, do you want to start a punk-rock easycore band?” That’s how Joel Kunze asked Jessie Stowe to begin a collaborative musical journey that was solidified in 2018 with the addition of drummer Brady Madden. Adding and subtracting guitar players, the band, then known as Winning Isn’t Everything, played a ton of shows and gained a popular Midwest following. However, last year the core members found the new songs they were working on were less punk and far heavier. They changed the band name to reflect the new sound and Wolves of the North was born. The trio found guitarist Judea Thomas to add extra punch and the new pack was complete.
