Funky electric jazz-rock fusion group Theory of Light performs with a groovy mix of instrumentalists. The band features guitarist Andrew Lipke, Joseph Anderson on flute, and trumpet player Aaron O’Connor. Holding down the rhythm section are bassist Luke Busta and drummer Todd Garland. In addition to performing classic jazz standards, these guys pump out original tunes such as “Cactus Man” and “The Most Human.” Their Bandcamp sports two short collections of recordings, titled Unskipped Notes and Legend of the Milk Jug. After making their debut at Homegrown this year, they plan on having a party for their first full album this coming summer.
