String-bending Americana trio the Lowland Lakers lost Matt Donoghue last year when he traded his standup bass for a Ph.D. and became a resident physician at a Minneapolis hospital. The band healed up quickly though. Nate Case and Haley Rydell found new bassist Taylor Donskey in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin. Donskey adds a third harmony and brings along original music in tow. The band spent time in the studio in December working on the follow up to 2016’s The Mississippi is Between Us Now.
