From the backwoods north of Duluth, The Brothers Burn Mountain are a soulful duo of real-life brothers, Ryan and Jesse Dermody.  A roiling melting pot of musical influences, the duo’s sound is energetic and eclectic. They merge Afro-Cuban rhythms and Zappa-esque spontaneity with gritty blues, singer-songwriter tenderness, and Americana flair. As a tradition, each Brothers Burn Mountain show ends with healing and hypnotic extended drum jams. Last year, the brothers celebrated 25 years of creating and performing music together with the release of their “best-of” album, 25 Years. They’ve also collaborated with other Minnesota music legends like Ryan Young of Trampled by Turtles, Jerree Small of Southwire and Coyote, and Alan Sparhawk of Low.
