Peter Pain

Bob Monahan started as a simple poet. Fast forward 20 years and know that, though these days the business ventures far outnumber the smoky, spoken-word open-stages Monahan used to host, the roots of that great creative mind can still be heard in the performer persona Peter Pain. Using the adept musical skills of friends Solomon Witherspoon and Jamain Aikens as a back beat for Monahan’s casual poetry-slam style voice, Monahan pontificates on the modern hang-ups of hipster life in humorous, heartbreaking and harmonizing ways.
