Most Pale in Comparison songs run fewer than two minutes long. Some don’t even hit 1:30. They’re all fast but not too fast, hard but not too hard, and perfectly snotty. “I guess our sound,” says singer and guitar player Matt Biggs, “is a bit of old-school punk mixed with ’90s punk and grunge. If you wanna get drunk and go crazy our set is a good place to start.” Biggs, drummer Andrew Olson and bassist/singer Kyle Lee have been playing house shows and small venues steadily since about 2014. Every song on their full-length album American Train Wreck is just solid, straightforward, pleasantly aggressive punk rock.
