Northland’s Finest Horn Choir

Northland’s Finest Horn Choir performs french horn arrangements in the style of classical music, rock, reimaged blues, jazz and pop. What started as a quartet has grown to include hornists Deborah Rausch, Jim Pospisil, Emily Borra, Sam Marks, Rachel Portinga, Megan Marshall-Leslie, Joanne Carland, Laura Goucher, Laura Saumer and Adam Glenski, with ages ranging between 9 and 70. The members consist of music educators, scientists, professional musicians, retirees and students who have “played irregularly with great enthusiasm” for more than four years. Premiering this year is a piece by Bradley Bombardier, a composer and instructor at the University of Minnesota Duluth, as well as original compositions written by members of the horn choir.
