Me~n~Her is a powerhouse performance of four people delivering a combination of sultry vocals, intentional rap verses and irresistible beats that center the powerful narratives of black people in the community. Essentially, it’s an interstate collaboration between Royalty Nashia of Superior, Diona Jay of Duluth, Kameron Peak, Alexis Banks and a crew of other players accompany them on stage. They are self-proclaimed “performance activists” rocked their strength-affirming message at FeMN Fest, the Red Herring Lounge and the College of St. Scholastica in 2018. Fun fact: Me~n~Her has more tildes in its name than any act that has ever played Homegrown.
