Things have been slow, quiet and cold for too long. The return to the stage of the punk outfit Manheat brings Duluth life back into the loud and fast lane, likely providing enough residual warmth to last until November. The original Manheat era ran from 2006 to 2014, ultimately resulting in three releases. Hotel Suicide was first in 2011. A cassette EP with the word “punk” written on it with black marker was released in 2014 and later titled Church Demos. The rest of those demos, recorded in 2013, were finally available in 2020 on the release Blood Booze and Babyteeth. Now, the stage resurrection approaches for band members Jay Witcomb, Jake Larson, Brennan Atchison and Matt Osterlund.
