Lyla Abukhodair got her start in the Duluth music scene in 2017 as part of the folk group NorShore Summit. She launched her solo act in 2020 as a singer-songwriter but added a high-energy pop-punk side to her work in 2021, captured in the EP <i>Your Mom Hates Me Now</i>, released in June.
