Jacob Mahon

Jacob Mahon moved to Duluth in 2016 and quickly became established as a talented and energetic performer with an unconventional voice. Influenced by Piedmont-style blues artists like Reverend Gary Davis and Elizabeth Cotten, Mahon writes “new songs about old things” and performs them with passionate vocal flourishes. A solo album was released in 2018, Llamaless, but Mahon is typically surrounded by a band. On the Homegrown trolley, the artist says he’ll have an acoustic guitar and “at least two friends” joining in.
