Ire Wolves

Swedish heavy metal band Cult of Luna and forever-mourned genre giants Isis launched their assault on the hard-rock world in the late 1990s. The Duluth-based trio Ire Wolves carries on the attack. Playing together as Soma starting in 2011, Michael Trepanier, Dustin Fennessey and Tim Simmons changed the band name to Ire Wolves and have been scorching stages with their post-metal sound ever since. The group has released a three-song EP and two full-length albums. The works are both evocative and dire as the group attempts to cover a range of expression from “introspective to despondency and rage.”
