The funked out improvisational rock outfit known by the acronym IPA formed in 1999 and played Homegrown in 2003 and 2004. Since then, Indefinite Particle Article has been quietly tuning for Homegrown 2019 by working day jobs and raising families. It doesn’t get much more punk rock than that. Now, the group is back for the first time in 15 years with a set of both reworked and revived songs to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the band’s formation. While the funk and improv has been tempered, the four-piece is rocking just as hard as it did in the heyday. The lineup features founding members Josh Gamble and Clint Boylan on guitars, and Brett MacKenzie on drums. Original bassist Kevin Grapski will be greatly missed, but Dustin Tessier of Timbre Ghost will ably cover the low end.
