Stoner-doom duo Dead Guy in a Swamp performs both background music and cataclysmic riffs, fully exploring the confines of their genre. With roots in Midwest emo and punk bands, their influences range from Eyehategod, Bell Witch, Sunn O))), and Boris. Guitarist Evan Arnold forms half of the duo, with the rest of the swap held down by drummer William Guy. Both musicians can also be found performing with the group Slape, and Guy also holds down the rhythm section for the band Chippy. Their first recorded album, Dead Guy in a Swamp, features titles such as “Tower” and “Inverted World.”
