Christopher David Hanson is tucked away on Birch Lake north of Babbitt, a hideaway that makes for good “rockabilly, swing and soul” music writing. It ain’t easy making a living in the hinterlands of Ely, and multiple hats must be worn. Hanson is a bit of a Chris Stevens from the old TV show Northern Exposure, working on the radio at WELY and teaching. The band has a prolific past, touring with national acts and scoring songs in several films along with four studio albums. The current lineup consists of Hanson on lead guitar and vocals, Brent Saari on keys, Jim Pietila on drums and Josh Palmi on bass.
