Duluth native Ann Kathryn first drew attention with her powerful vocals in bands including Lookdown Moon. Since striking out on her own, she’s added keyboards and songwriting to her repertoire, releasing an impressive debut solo album, Entr’acte, in 2019. Her soulful, dynamic sound is rounded out by her band, featuring Duluthians George Ellsworth on bass and guitar and, occasionally, Brian Bluhm on French horn, plus Minneapolis-based lead guitarist Dominic McFadden. Band highlights from the past year include a performance at the Lake Superior Harvest Festival at Bayfront Festival Park in September. A sophomore album is in the works.
