From the rebirth of Aaron Carter’s solo career emerged another star. Àlamode made its debut opening for Carter at the Red Herring with just 25 minutes of music. Initially billed as Play Date, a cease-and-desist order from another band of the same name prompted the switch to Àlamode in early 2017. The band regained momentum with some serious radio play, several steamy shows and a debut album, Swell. Guitarist Peter Knutson, drummer Rio Daugherty, bassist Alex Piazza, keyboardist Ned Netzel and singer Nathan Holte promise “something fresh, exciting and with a danceable groove.” There will also likely be shirtlessness.
